Kansas City Mutual Aid

is a community organization aimed at providing accessible resources to empower individual and collective autonomy. Founded in 2020 as a Facebook group for community members to request or offer support without judgment in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kansas City Mutual Aid’s programming has included hot meal delivery, personal container garden giveaways, and clothing drives, often in collaboration with or in support of other local organizations. At present, we maintain a community garden, community fridge and pantry, organize Free Skool workshops in creative and practical skills, and host Mutual Aid Day, a twice-a-year conference highlighting other mutual aid organizations and projects.
